Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A War Medal, Galipoli Star Auction The document is dated to(Harp Madalyas). Instituted in 1915. Cast metal with red patination, Turkish made, ball finials on the tips of the star points, measuring 55. 3 mm (w) x 53. 7 mm (h), brass suspension bar placed on the reverse, very light crazing evident in the red patination on the star point at 5 o'clock, the remaining patination intact, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Gallipolli Star was a military decoration awarded by the Ottoman Empire. It is also known as
